Pour is a dark clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is biscuit malt and some definite honey. Flavor is thin and watery with dry pale malt and almost none of the honey in the aroma shows up. Just finishes kind of sweet but still thin. Not a winner.

Sample at the Big Tap In on 05/31/2014. Clear pale golden color with a thin white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Fruit, wheat and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of mildly tart fruit, bready malt and yeast. The finish is fruity with a mineral and pithy citrus aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of earthy wheat with some light notes of citrus rind and a bit of light spice. Flavor has earthy wheat and a bit of a cookie note with some light spice and just a hint of citrus.

12oz bottle. Slightly hazy orange-tan body. Respectable off-white head. Flowery sweet saison aroma. This is actually really solid, completely exceeding my expectations. The golden malt backdrop is massive, and stands up to the saison yeast. Full bodied for sure. Funky saison yeast still quite present. The best beer I’ve had from this brewery by far. Solid.

Bottle - Molasses, milk, chocolate and some vanilla. Jet brown with a thin brown head. Lots of molasses and sweet with an almost burnt sugar bitterness that is not unpleasant. Long sweet finish.
