Bottle thanks to a trade! Pours a hazy gold with an orange hue and an off-white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of grass with a bit of resin and onion backed by a bread note. Flavor has very earthy pine up front with a finish of grain and a bit of onion.

Bottle at RBWG, thanks! Pours a clear yellowish gold with no head whatsoever. Aroma has musty earthy honey with a bit of sweetness coming through. Flavor also is full of musty, earthy honey with just a hint of sweetness.

12 oz. bottle given to be by a friend on her return trip from New Orleans. Thanks Ashley! Snifter shows opaque black with a thin right of off white head. Nose is complex malt giving aromas of milk chocolate, molasses and burnt barley. Flavor is nice nuances of charred malt, day old coffee dregs, light dark fruits with a bitter-chocolate finish. I say bitter chocolate because I don’t detect hops. But it is much needed for balance. Body is medium with a lingering roasted malt finish. 8.5 % ABV is totally masked. Overall this is a nice offering from Lazy Magnolia and it’s an easy drinking Impy Stout.
