Light roast here and the potato makes for a good infusion here. Pretty easy to drink. Light bittersweet finish. Bottle.

This was an OK IPA. Nose was citrus and pine, flavor similar, leaning more toward pine resins, spicy. Malts were light and dry, though a breadiness was there, enough to give it some backbone at the least. Drinkable enough. Golden, light hazy, huge head, meringue like, erect in the glass.

Bottle. Pours clear amber, medium puffy beige head, long lasting with nice lacing. Strong room-filling aroma, pretty standard IPA - lots of pine and spruce resins, a bit of perfume. Flavor is medium sweet and medium bitter, resinous, and fairly spicy from the presence of the rye malt. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, lingering bitterness. A bit too sweet for me, but otherwise a solid effort.

Strong oak nose, currant and toe jam underneath. Black, medium tan head, nice lacing. Tart currant with a prominent lightly charred oak note at midpalate. Full body and tart, moderate carbonation. I don’t understand the low ratings. This was not bad sour, it was pleasantly good.
