Keg at Whole Foods Charlottesville, 4/28/15. Clear amber, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of caramel, toffee, pecans and wine and candied citrus in the finish. The taste is tart jammy fruit, grape, strawberry, herbal notes, caramel. Medium bodied, low carbonation, moderate lingering tartness. Weird, but pretty good.

From a bottle kindly provided by Cunningham, shared with other Norwegian ratebeerians (see below). A filmy layer on the top of a clear amber body. Modest smell of caramel and herbal hops. Similar taste of mild caramel, nuts, and herbal hops. Semi-sweet malt-fruity finish. Medium to thin bodied. Soft carbonated. Straightforward (Drammen 30.05.2015).

Tap. Pours dark black, large creamy brown head, nice lacing. Aroma is roasty, cocoa, rubber. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, bit of chocolate candy, a touch odd. Medium body. Not bad.

35,5cl bottle shared by Cunningham, thanks a lot! Pours clear amber with a modest, off-white head. Sweet, caramelly and mild malty with notes of dried fruits, and sugar. Too sweet for ny liking, but still fairly drinkable. Fair enough.

12oz bottle. So, why does this not have flavor? Light soft roast, maybe mild lactose sweetness. All decent stuff and then its just empty, dirty water flavor. I’m flummoxed. Chalky.
