Just an ordinary brown ale. Nothing to get excited about. Light nuttiness, sweet molasses hint, caramel. Balanced, light body, overall flavors on the light side.

12oz bottle thanks to oldrtybastrd
Pours dark brown with a small tan head, light lacing. Aroma is woody, bourbon, vanilla and oak. Flavors of dark malts, woody, chocolate, oak with a nice tart dry finish
This is very nice drinking. It smooths out as it warms up.

Easy to drink but pretty light on the palate. Light nut and some roast. Pours brown with OK head and lacing. Light bittersweet finish. A decent beach beer. Bottle.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on a stormy late summer Friday night before band practice. Appearance is a thick pitch black with a moderate off white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, light stinky cheese, smell is great. Taste is pretty carbonated and lively for the style, goes down lightly tart, chocolate and vanilla come through in the back end. I’m actually a fan of this one, wouldn’t have often, but it’s pretty good.

Not a great balance. Like an esb with tons of alcohol, but doesn’t come together. Some barley and slight hint of citrus. Too much resinous pine. Brown pour. Bottle.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Hazy amber, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of wheat, berries and a bit of citrus. The taste is tart berries, mild lactic notes, wheat. Thin bodied, low carbonation, a faint bit of spice.

Crisp, very slightly hazy golden coloured body with a glow of honey and a very thin, faint off-white head. Aroma of yeast, light grass and honey, some caster sugar and a bit of very light spices - fairly mild. Full-bodied; Rich honey flavour with a lot of yeast and bananas and a nice malty bite from wheat and flowers. Aftertaste shows a very polished yeast strain along with some nice sugars from fruit and honey and a subdued but noticeable grass and herb bite. Overall, a nice beer that doesn’t look so great nor smell amazing, but the taste is very elegant and reminiscent of a true belgie with a smooth finish showing relatively good complexity. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Crystal City Wine Shop in Arlington, Virginia on 28-April-2015 for US$3,69 sampled at home in Washington just a few steps away on 25-August-2015.
