Description
Cellarmaker Brewing Company has been in the works for quite some time. Look for our beers to start making their way around better known beer bars and beer focused restaurants in San Francisco starting in September.

We have a tasting room in the same building as the brewery and will offer tasters, pints, and growlers. Some beers may be bottled further down the line but for now it's all draft. The only way you can take our beer away is in the form of a growler - which by the way, is a great way to drink beer!

Look for a focus of plenty of hoppy beers, belgian-style saisons, dark beers, and sour beers. We are huge fans of wine and bourbon barrel aged beers as well so it's only natural for us to have a barrel program. Think bourbon barrels loaded with big chewy imperial stouts, excessively hopped IPAs, fruited sour beers, and funky saisons. This is what we love. This is what we are all about. We hope you are too!

Please follow along for the ride as we build San Francisco's next great brewery.
Cheers!

Tap at Ale Aresenal. Fantastic aromas of grapefruit and slight pine. Tropical fruit in moderate amount. Hazy yellow-gold with almost non-existent white head. Taste follows aroma.

Tap at Ale Arsenal. Aromas of flora, perfume and the tropics. Medium thin mouthfeel. Light gold with moderate white head. Tasty is more of the flowers and tropical fruit.

On draft at Caps & Taps. It pours a lightly hazed pale orange/yellow color with a white head. The aroma is nice with florals, grapefruit and lime. Very fresh with hints of passionfruit. The flavor is the same. Light crackery malt, floral, grassy hops with stronger than average bitterness, at least for Cellarmaker. Overall, very enjoyable.

The beer is a medium light amber color. Liquid is a little hazy. Solid white head, dissipates slowly with decent lacing. The aroma is more typical Cellarmaker than expected and quite good. Big tropical fruit and citrus. Sweet lemon, pineapple, tangerine, guava. There’s a little more of a pungent edge with some grapefruit and pine. Good stuff. Maybe just a touch of cattiness. Mild simple malt character. The taste is bright with hop flavor and fairly dry. Almost a little chalky sort of yeast flavor. Light feel with some hop oiliness. Easy to drink and quite refreshing. Very good.
