Draft at Bobs in Yakima. From notes 11-14-14. Pours a reddish copper color. Sweet caramel malt aroma. Really smooth flavor entirely throughout. Nice bitter hop presence in the finish. Long lasting, lingering flavor. Love the balance between hops and malt. Definitely stays true to the name, as it was about 20 degrees out when I was enjoying this, and I was doing just fine. Good stuff here.

On tap at Paddy’s in CDA, ID two nights ago. Stupid frosty mug destroyed appearance and palate to a lesser degree. Cola brown, off white head. A brown ale seems to be the base. Typical spices, earthy, roasty, licorice, hoppy bitter on the finish. Tasty but kind of average for style.

On tap at Daanen’s Deli. Aroma is extremely juicy citrus, pine less so. Slightly hazy golden with a white head; laces fairly well. Taste is sweet and citrusy, savory; very light bitterness. Carbonation is fairly soft, body is medium. Fantastic. Is it insane that I’m thinking of Pliny right now? That’s the closest thing I can think of right now to describe this.

Can - thanks to Chris for the extra! Pours cloudy orange, small off-white head that eventually dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is really really nice - citrus and tropical, dank and sweaty. Flavor almost cannot live up to that, but it is pretty damn good, light sweet, drying out in the main body, fruity, juicy, tropical goodness. Body is a bit light, which should not surprise, but this is an awesome session IPA. Kind of like a lower ABV Pseudo Sue, and that is saying something. Yum.

Can. Dry and grassy. Herbal, hop forward pale ale. Light malt. One of the better pale ales I have had in a long time.

Can from DeLaurenti, Seattle
Hazy golden color. It has a lean and nice malt profile, with a toffee accent; the hopping is pleasant and moderately citrusy. Dry.
Good example of the style, highly drinkable.

Draft pour at special brews. Pours a mid copper color with a nice hop aroma to it. Bitter hops all throughout this one. Really good. A lot of grapefruit and other citrus flavor. Long, hoppy bitter finish. In my limited experience with Bale Breaker, I’ve been quite impressed. This beer is yet another all around solid beer. Keep it up.
