On tap at Brouwer's Cafe for Big Wood 2014, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out oak barrels, along with red wine, vinegar, and tart cherries. Flavour is unusual and complex, with spiciness upfront, along with tart red fruits, dry red wine, and oak. Quite unusual, but very interesting. I really dig the vinous quality. Excellent stuff.

Bottle at home probably should have saved for better occasion but alas will power not my strong suit. Pours dirty copper with one finger head. Nose is lovely junipers, herbs, and light spice. Tastes of juniper berries, some herbs, cherry, banana peel, Leather, wood, and raisins. Nice palate that coats throat with Sahti goodness.

Draft. Pours a dark orange with a sour, yet spicy aroma. There is so much going on with this one. Really grainy. A bit of a wheat finish. A lot of herb flavor and spice. This one was different for sure. Not bad.

On tap at Saraveza, pours a dark orange amber with a medium white head. Aroma brings out a unique mix of grains, along with Belgian yeast. Flavour is unusual, with a weird mix of cereal grains, farmhouse notes and earthiness. Well-balanced, with a grainy, earthy, funky finish. Great stuff.

On tap at Saraveza, pours a hazy dull copper with a small white head. Nose brings out spruce, fruity esters and farmhouse notes. Flavour reveals loads of fruity esters, followed by woody spruce and yeast. Really well-constructed, with the spruce situated perfectly. Great one.

On tap at Belmont. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A big Belgian yeast nose, almost bubblegum-like, some lemons. The flavor is mostly banana yeast-inspired fruit, some light spices, evergreen, some sweeter caramel. Light citrus and pine. Decent. Interesting.
