Sampled from the tap at 2010 FOBAB. Poured black with a brownish yellow head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma had a nice rye note with roasted malts and a nice backing whiskey note. Flavor had rye with dry roasted malts and a growing whiskey note that comes out in the finish. Flavor also had a slight off putting vegetable note, but still a really solid beer.

Sampled from the tap at 2010 FOBAB. Poured a hazy gold with a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had a soft pear note with a slight tart backing a hint of funk, particularly barnyard. Flavor was very thin with a slight pear note and a slight tart and dry finish. There was a slight nice funk note.

22oz bottle pours a hazy, bright gold with a thin, white head. Nose is herbal, lemony, yeasty, lightly sweet. Flavor is sweet, honey, lemons, herbal tea, light citrus. Medium bodied, soft finish. Pretty good.

Courtesy of HOPSHUNTER. Pours clear copper with white head. The aroma is big crazy guava meat, sweet guava juice and some citrus hops around the edges. The taste has firm hop spiciness and citrus that quickly get pummeled by loads of sweet and earthy/tropical guava goodness. It dries out some into the finish. If you want a robust guava brew then this one is for you.

22oz bottle-Thanks pantanap-pours a rich off white head and hazy amber color. Aroma is pine/tropical fruit, sweet medium malt-caramel, slight sharpness/alcohol. Taste is pine hops bite, medium malt-burnt caramel, wood, sour/sharpness/alcohol. First half of pint more enjoyable.

16oz can-Thanks pantanap-pours a retaining foamy white head that laces and hazy gold color. Aroma is floral/pine/resin. As it warms, pineapple. Taste is floral/pine hops bite, yeast, light malt.

Enjoyed on tap at Fountainhead in Chicago, IL two days before running in the Chicago Marathon. Really good blonde ale. Clearish yellow in appearance, aroma is of a good hop presence with light yeast. Taste is very crisp, good malt/hop balance, very refreshing.
