Description
You can come get to know our beers and the people behind them at either of our two locations.

Our original brewery on Lincoln Avenue is home to our Brewery Shop, where you can sample or purchase to-go, and a Tap Room, where you can stay, get a bite to eat and get to know who we are and what we do. You can now also visit our new brewery, on Balmoral Avenue, where we have a beer garden in nice weather and a completely separate food program.

Both locations offer perennials Daisy Cutter, Bodem, Pony Pilsner and Tuna plus plenty of small batch beers released weekly.

Courtesy of HOPSHUNTER. Growler pours mahogany with infra red edges and half inch mocha head leaving some decent sheet lacing behind. The aroma is dark roasty malts, black licorice, some chocolate and spicy hops. The taste starts with firm dark roasted malts and then pulling up some chocolate, vague hop bitterness, some spicy hops, burnt malts and then a mild level of spicy black licorice.

Bottle shared at the September 2010 Metro Detroit tasting. Poured a clear amber with minimal near white head that dissipated completely, quickly. Aroma had a nice combination of strong pine with supporting guava. Flavor clashed more as the pine and guava did not really work together. There was also a bit of a cereal backbone.

I had this on draft at the Bad Apple in Chicago, which is quite literally across the street from the brewery. Tastes like similar \"farmhouse ales\" of the style, has a certain spice to it and it’s pretty good. I’m really impressed with the quality coming from this smaller Chicago brewery.

I had this on draft at Ten Cat in Chicago while a good friend from New York was in town. This is rich in hops for an ESB, went down extremely smooth, very flavorful. I ordered this at the bar because it was the best local option aside from 312, which I’ve had plenty of times. Very satisfied with my choice!

Growler shared by Kan, thanks. Poured a clear dark brown with a gray brown head that dissipated slowly to the edges. Aroma a had a combination of pine with some sweet dark grains. Flavor began with some dark grains, but the pine grows which led to the dark grains becoming a backing note.

Bottle thanks to Msante79. Pales don’t get much better than this. Pours a muddy yellow orange. White head. Nose and taste of wheat, citrus, hops and dry pine finish.

Pours deep gold with copper hues and slight haze supporting an off white head. The moderate aroma emits grapefruit, tangelo and spicy hops as well as sweet malts and a sliver of caramel candy underneath. The taste is bolder than the nose indicated with rich yummy citrus, spicy hops and a mild level of sweet malts. It stays firmly rich citrus hoppy right to the finish and then seems to linger for days. Nice!

Courtesy of kiefdog. Pours clear deep gold with nice full off white head. The aroma is punchy grapefruit, tangelo, sweetened orange peel followed by some spicy hops. The taste is full up rich sweetened grapefruit, pineapple and tangelo like citrusy hops with thin layers of malty sweetness holding this thing together. Another wonderful hoppy offering.
