Courtesy of sebletitje. Pours very dark with tall mocha head and spotty lacing. The aroma is rich with burnt malts, spicy rye, earthiness and some chocolate. Yummy. The taste is full with dark roasted malts, burnt malts, a touch of coffee and then surrounded on all sides by spicy rye. Into the finish chocolate surfaces and helps bring the spicy rye notes into the after taste. Tasty stuff, well done.

Bottle thanks to pantap. Pours with a clear golden body and a large white head. Aroma of ...wow...huge spicy hops with TONS of tropical fruit (guava obviously). This stuff is intense! Guava everywhere, with some butter-biscuit aromas as well. Restrained bitterness with a grainy mid palate and a tropical fruit/guava finish. Very dry, with some alcohol and candied ginger. Tasty, but not as good as it smells sadly. Dry and lively palate, some noticeable alcohol and creamy carbonation. Really a delicious and unique beer.

Dog Days of Summer Gathering, thanks hopscotch. orange hue color, white head. solid DIPA, lots of nice hops spices and grapefruit and citrus along with tropical fruits, leaning on the tangy side. Malt profile is rather in hindsight, giving a more sweet caramel touch to the overall experience.

dark brown, mocha/tan head. lots of roast and coffee goodness here. Rye is perfect here,a dding some volume to the palate with lingering spiciness, nice caramel, chocolate malts, with a mild coffee bitterness in the finish. A little on the dry finish.

Bottle at Jimmack’s invitational gathering. Pours clear amber. Nose of guava, hops, barley and nice malt. Taste of malt, guava, hops, citrus and apricot.

Bottle. Poured black with a thick deep brown head that dissipated slowly to the edges. Aroma was full of dry roasted malts with a slight rye undertone and a hint of hops. Flavor was quite dry as well with lots of roasted malts with a bit of hop in the finish.

Sampled from the tap at the 2010 GTMW. Poured a hazy bright yellow with a lasting white head. Aroma had a light floral note with rye and a slight backing tea and pepper note. Flavor began with light floral note as well with growing rye and some fruit coming out in the finish. A bit of spice was present in the finish as well.

Bottle thanks to Msante79. Shared with jcwattsrugger. Pours apricot with white head. Nose is very floral Simcoe hops and apricot. Taste is apricot, citrus fruits and pine with lots of hops and a nice malt balance.

Can, thanks to Joey! Pours pale gold with a tall white head. Aroma is floral and pine hops, with thin grassy malt notes. Flavor is thin, pale and grassy malts, some floral notes again, and a nice bitter pine finish. Pretty assertive for a pale ale.

On the bus, RBSG. Strong simcoe hoppy aroma. Minerally. Very unique, like apricots in the nose. Medium pale gold. Strong sour edge with a bit of biscuity malt and honey. Pretty bitter but not overwhelmingly so. Interesting fruit flavors, citrus and otherwise. Pretty cool and flavorful for a light beer.
