Can from the supermarket. Nutty, caramel, toast, chocolate aroma with some berries and orange. Light, spicy hops. Medium reddish amber with a fine, medium head. Malty flavor, toast and caramel, dark chocolate, light citrus, fruity, grassy. Decent balance. Lightly sweet with a slightly bitter finish. A bit on the heavy side. Not bad. Probably better than usual for their ale versions, but it gets boring half way through the can.

Can. Golden pour. Clean malt. Ose. Orange esters. Bread. Tangy and fruity ale yeast flavor, malty, well balanced, full body with 6%. A bit better than expected.

Suntory World Craft Refresh Saison 5.5% I found this at Family Mart for about 250¥. I’d say it is clearly a beer and has definite saison type notes (light spice/yeast character, possibly wheat). Think a toned down saison but I thought it wasn’t that bad.

Can at a share. Pours pale yellow with white foam. Corn, rice aroma. Taste is similar. Light to moderate sweet & light bitter. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Nowt to it.

0,33l can from Nagoya station, enjoyed straight from the can @ Kodama. Not much of an aroma or flavor for that matter. Malts, some hops. No flaws. Perfectly decent Shinkansen beer.

0,33l can from Tokyo Station, enjoyed @ Nozomi straight from the can. Aroma is slightly fruity malts. Flavor is fruity malts with some hops. Pretty good shinkansen beer.

Can. Gold with a 2cm white head. Not much aroma - some cereal, some stone fruit. Very light bodied. Clean, dry and empty until a somewhat spicy and oddly harsh bitter finish.
