Bright golden-amber. Lots of cinnamon, nutmeg and some lightly caramelized malts. Smooth spicy note, hints of cereal and light toffeeish malts. There’s a dash of vanilla accent here as well. Medium body, sweetish, spice-accented finish.

Very dark body. Chocolate aroma is a bit syrupy, but is hinting at a dark cocoa note. Decent body. Nice balance of chocolate, hints of forest, shades of nuts. Kind of like this one.

Golden and bright. Slightly earthy aroma. Sweet palate, some anglohop. Somewhat bready but also somewhat doughy. Finishes fairly dry, with something of an English hop taste. What can I say - dull as dishwater.

Tap at Swans. Nice hop notes, lightish body, light honey spice, quick green finish, light resin stickyness. Wastly improved from last time I had it. Old rating: 3 2 4 1 8 Pale golden, no head or carbonation. Neutral aroma. light papery flavor. Watery, light honeyish aftertaste. Boring.

Reddish-amber. Slightly spicy nose, with lots of rich caramel. Big, rich, raw barley wine with lots of clean caramel notes and light peachy fruitiness. Good, but typical green BW. It’ll be a few years before we know how this one really is.

tap at the brewpub (or cask? they didn’t say, but mouthfeel was similar to cask ales) - This orangish-amber colored ale has a light hoppy aroma that could have used some more aromatic hops. The thin head lingered and left some lacing. A crisp hop flavor with good malt balance and mild pine notes is complemented by a lightly carbonated, medium bodied palate. The finish is pleasantly bitter. Nice beer.

tap at the brewpub - Pours light amber with a thin head. The aroma is very light with just some mild malt and hops. The flavor is much better than the aroma as moderately strong hops make their presence known. It has a good, lightly carbonated, medium bodied palate, then an light, bitter finish.

tap at the brewpub - Pours dark brown with a thin head. The aroma is roast malts and coffee. It has a flavor to match in a medium to full bodied, lightly carbonated brew. This stout goes down smooth with a fairly sweet finish.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7

tap at the brewpub - Pours dark amber with a medium-sized, enduring head that leaves some lacing. The aroma is mostly malt with a light fruity note. The sweet flavor is led by the malts and also includes a very light dark fruit flavor and some alcohol that’s noticeable. A medium body suits the beer well and leads to a mildly alcohol flavored finish.

tap at the brewpub - Pours dark reddish-amber with a thin head and a strong raspberry aroma. The flavor is fairly light and led by sweet raspberry with some caramel maltiness alongside in a slightly too thin body. The finish has some mild alcohol flavor. Not bad.
