frothy white head. Medium light golden color. Very clean dry nose with great citrus character. Very clean mouth, but the hops don’t shine as much as they did with the session IPA. The hops just don’t work as well. Slightly minerally and citrus finish. Good stuff but not great stuff like the IPA

light golden amber color. Very dry, hoppy juicy, citrusy mouth. Big bitterness Light body but never harsh and over attenuated. Nice tangerines linger in the finish. Best session IPA in Japan. This stuff is awesome

Draft - Toffee and light toast. Jet black with a biege head. Mollasses and toast. Very soft.

Draft - Very light caramel malts. Clear amber with a nice beige head. Toast and caramel. Decent.

Draft - Nice soft grains. Clear gold with nice white head. Soft grains with no bitterness and bready.

Dark muddy brown color that isn’t particularly attractive. The nose is modestly clean with smoked cheese and a touch of caramel. The mouth is very malty with prickly carbonation. The smokiness is subtle but firm and comes In waves. Very smooth and clean. Fuller body than I expected. Didn’t have the wow factor I remember from years past but this is good stuff.

Thanks TimE for the bottle! Poured into a snifter showing moderately filtered dark brown and orange with sparse white foam that quickly dissipates. The nose shows lightly intense notes of smoke and bacon with light caramel malts around the edge. Nowhere near the intense level seen in the Aecht Sclerenka. The palate is medium bodied and light carbonated. Flavors of light smoke and bacon supported on a bed of light baked bready and lagery malts. Finish shows a soy sauce and smoky bitterness with a resurgence of bacon flavors on the linger.
