Draught at Q-Brick as W-Chocolate Bock. Think it is the same one. Rich munich malt aroma with chocolate and caramel. Fragrant and nice. Black with a thin, fine, head. Slightly smoky flavor of chocolate and caramel with some wood. Very rich malt, yet not cloying in the least. Very nice bock indeed.

Made with all Akita-grown ingredients, malted by the brewer. Uses both 2-row and 6-row barley. Draught at Keg Nagoya. Very pale gold with a bit of lace. Faint fruity aroma with a touch of citrus and grass and a bit of honey. Bland flavor with light malt, honey, and cereal taste. Decent bitterness but not much hop flavor. Crisp and clean but rather tasteless. Very bitter, though. Lots of crackers, or Japanese mugicha (barley tea). The hops save it. Strange and light, somewhat watery, but interesting.

Deep russet color. Sweet malty Mose of cherries and wood. Fairly hoppy mouth with lots of cherry and apricot notes. Good without being great.

I actually thought this was a competently made Vienna. fairly full bodied, nice malty backbone with some bready notes, toss in cherries and light carameliness with some noble hops and the beer isn’t that bad really. Again it is refrshing, but with body.

Very nice rich aroma of dark Malts and caramel. Light, but rich mouth showing some deep dark roasted malts, caramel with solid hop bitterness backing up the full malt assault. Moderate bitter finish. Really nice stuff.

Moderately grassy hoppy nose. Well balanced body with lots of grassy hoppiness. Backbone is lacking a bit, but does not distract from the beer. Solid bitter finish. Nothing too complex, but well done.

A very pale color, with a quick disappainting head. Does not look tempting. The nose is surprisingly resilient with solid notes of banana and cloves. Moderately balanced, light body, clovey. Finishes a bit watery and dry, but still manages to be a decent beer.

Grassy hoppy nose, with hints of hay. Soft body, well balanced, but a bit too much hops for the style. Short, dry floral finish, but bitterness is appropriately toned down. Freshing and light. Good for a summer day.

Bottle from the brewpub. Specially made for an Izakaya in Akita city. Amber color—deep amber, thin head. Aroma of caramel, dry sake-like yeast. Dary malty flavor. Sake taste is evident. A dunkel, basically, but with a rather thin body and light malt. Rather dull. The strange, sake-like thing in it is not bad but also not pleasant.
