Tap at CBM Awajicho. Lightly creamy, wheaty, soft, little bit of fruity sweetness in taste, berries, pastry like sweetness. Malty, light caramel.

Keyaki. Sweet, bananas, ice cream, wheat. Little bit of clovey spiciness. Little peppery at the finish. Nice.

Tap at Marciero. Dark brown colour, small thin golden head. Aroma is light cola, cocoa. Taste is lightly roasty, bit of caramel. Easy drinking.

Draft at ibrew, Shimbashi. Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of dark malts, caramel and herbal notes. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Above light bodied with light carbonation.

Tap at IBREW Shinbashi. Poured a clear dark brown colour with thin broken off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, caramel, light charcoal, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a crisp, fresh, light liquorice, ashtray, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle from a supermarket close to Ooimachi Station. Pours amber with some beige foam. Nose has light caramel, bit of herbs. Quite under-toned. Taste is light, some caramel but almost no biscuits or no sweetness. Mainly malt-forward though. Medium bitter finish, quite dry. Can drink this but otherwise not inspiring at all.

Bottle pour at the Ichinoseki Beer Fest 2017. Citra-hopped kolsch. big, fruity hop nose, lemon, grapefruit, crackery malt. Glowing gold, clear, with a low head. Oily and bitter flavor, grapefruit, zest, crackers. This is a bit out of balance, but very fun and enjoyable.

Tap at Ape. Oily, glowing gold with the lightest of hazy and a medium fine head. Big hop nose, pissy, Nelson I guess, biscuits, citrus, grapefruit, white grapes. Crackery malt flavor, crisp and bitter, big hops and solid malt. Crisp and lovely. Dig this.
