On tap at The Hold @ Revelry, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of lupulin powder, with light brett and some dankness. Flavour is dominated by the lupulin powder, with a very earthy character and chalky yeast. The lupulin powder just isn't pleasant. Not a fan.

On tap at The Hold @ Revelry, pours a hazy bright reddish pink with a small white head. Aroma brings out lacto, tart berries and light plum acidity. Flavour is along he same lines, with tart blueberry, plum acidity and lacto. Nicely constructed with very adequate acidity. Very good.

Bottle. Raisin, molasses, chocolate malt, alcohol, and hay aroma. Dark brown with slight brown head. Very sweet fig/raisin, molasses/chocolate malt, and moderately bitter alcohol and dry hay flavor. Mild alcohol burn in the finish. Nice body and balance. Very nice.

Slightly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a thinnish off-white head with a very nice honey-coloured tint when held up to a light. Aroma of grass, light citrus, a dash of subtle and not assertive hops with a bit more grain and light sugars noticeable, mainly from caster sugar, but also some funk and odd yeast notes show through. Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and herbal flavours at first with a definite citrus and floral bite that shows almost more malt than hops. Only a touch of caster sugar and some funkier yeast add to the complexity of this one, which is largely straight-forward and mellow. Aftertaste shows the hop bite, but without much bitterness, only the malt and yeast flavours are pungent here with some noticeable herbal and grassy/musty/dry flavours here at the very end. Overall, a pretty sub-par IPA, but it isn't horrible...simply not worth searching out in a land full of much better beer - don't waste your time, unless you love IPAs and need to try all of them! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Greenville Beer Exchange in Greenville, South Carolina on 31-May-2018 for US$2,08 sampled at home in Washington on 10-August-2018.

Clear deep copper and light bronze coloured body with a thin, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of grain, pale malt, a touch of caster sugar, light apple and mellow fruits and the slightest hint of earthier hops. Light-bodied; Sharp pungent hop flavour with some astringent bitterness up front all with some mellow sugars mainly from caster sugar, but also a touch of fruits around the edges with a mellow citrusey and grainy character that shows some depth and malty flavours toward the end. Aftertaste is more pervasive in terms of the malt and astringent qualities than any hops, character or depth that an ESB should have. Overall, a pretty underwhelming beer that shows some mellow hops with no real bitterness, a touch of the citrus and mellow fruits, but not much else and no real complexity. Easy to drink, but that isn't so great when this isn't great to drink. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Greenville Beer Exchange in Greenville, South Carolina on 31-May-2018 for US$2,74 sampled at home in Washington on 03-August-2018.
