Description

A old review from Feb 2017 - A 330ml bottle brought back from Belgium 18 months ago & stored in my cellar. Pours a cloudy amber colour with a big creamy off white head. Aromas of citrus & sweet malt. Tastes of citrus, pear, apricot, pineapple, wheat, nutmeg, cloves & sweet malt. The aftertaste is malty with hints of spice towards the mildly bitter finish.

Old rating from 07-11-16 - 330ml bottle brought at the Noel Cuvelier farm beer shop just over the Belgium border near Poperinge. It pour's a golden colour, slightly murky with gentle carbonation & small white frothy head. Aromas of citrus with hints of pepper as well as of spearmint, dandelion and calcium. Medium body. The taste has a sweet mild citrus approach with expansive and lush carbonation, turning into a medium bitter and fairly alcoholic finish.

From Spar, Ostend. Cuvée 2022
Dark red colour. Aroma is sour cherry and grapes. A bit like a Lambrusco.
Flavour is a soft balsamic vinegar, sour cherry. Some shy wooden notes mainly in the final . Left a warmer feeling than I would expect.
Nice one

Bottled from 124 rabbit club. Poured a dark brown with little head. Not very sour for a sour ale but I liked it.

330ml bottle @ L'Ecole Buisonierre, Godwaerswalde, breaking up an E-bike ride to and from Mont Des Cats (My first, and only E-bike ride, for some time I hope!). Pours a bright gold with a fine mist, proud pure white head filling the remainder of the glass. Vibrant triple nose, floral, fruity, yeasty in the right proportions. Great initial sip, bright, flavoursome, very well-balanced, excellent triple character with a light spicy nod on the finish. It's moderate strength didn't seem to hinder things, in fact if I had another half hour free I would've had another. Very enjoyable.
