Description
The Giuman brothers and the brewer Federico Casarin, very fond of the beauty of nature and its products, plunge themselves in that liquid which has been going along with humans for millenniums.

The first boiled must in 2008, realized with a handmade plant, marks the beginning of a journey which first landmark is the construction and the start up of Doge Brewery in 2013. Doge’s beer arises from selected earth fruit and local spring water. In our beer there is all the power of the venetian culture along with the assurance of a high-quality product.

Birrificio del Doge is going to take you to a brand new stage of beer history, a journey which starts trough Italy and arrives in Venice, yet it does not end.

Bottled 330ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him and Hrabren. Unclear lemony yellow coloured, minimal white head, lively carbonation, coriander and mild vegetables in the nose. Sweetish malty, lemony, even mango maybe with vegetably notes. Citrusy finish, interesting in a way but all in all just ok brew.

Bottle shared with Marko and Ogi. Murky dark golden, small head, lots of sparkling. Off flavor, socks, no malts, no hops. Sweet, medicinal. Soft carbonation, medium body, abrupt malty finish, traces of hops. Can’t say, mostly off.

On tap at Mad for Beer in Rome-Italy. Semi clear dark golden color/amber, medium head. Nose: masterpiece, benchmark for the style! Balanced feel of sweet malts, honey, a bit almond pastry. Rustic malts leftovers. Eh! Mouth: autumn beer, really. Sweet malts, a nice balanced hoppy finish which is elegant and dries the finish making it clean. Yes! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle courtesy of the brewer, shared in Rome-Italy with Mortlach. Clear ancient gold, little foam leaving a lacing only. Nose: speck ham...really. Mild caramel, hemp, and wood. Kind of meat. Mouth: clean, warm, chestnut honey and peppery hoppy finish. The nose does not mirror the label description...really.
