Description
The first record of the inn and brewery “Zum goldenen Engel” in Crailsheim from 1738 reads “annual production volume 150 buckets.” In 1877 George Fachs becomes the new owner of the brewery. The Fachs family still owns - now in the fifth generation - the brewery. In 1984 Engel becomes the first German brewery to bottle Radler. Since the turn of the millennium, Engel-Biermanufaktur has developed into a specialty brewery that regularly receives awards for its beers.

Mild herb-bitterer Antrunk. Hat was. Test vom 13.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,9,10,10,9,9 - 9,10

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and deep golden hazzlenut brown, holds a diminished light tan and creamy head. Light spiced and roasted malt aroma. Flavour is a bit of a let down, mouthfeel and flavour is a bit thin to the aroma. Yet mild roasted and light fruity with mild acidic to bitter touch into the finish. Ends medium dry and with a vague metallic note.
