Bottle from AH Jan Linders. Color: Clear orange amber, off-white head. Aroma: Sweetish and fruity Rum. Taste: Sweetish and fruity Rum, marzipan, spicy notes, oak wood. Malty. Medium sweet, light bitterness. Long lasting dry, boozy Rum finish with a little bitterness in the background. Medium body, below average carbonation. Barrel is overwhelming far too much.

Bottle from Geers. Clear brown, small, foamy, tan head. Aroma of candied plum, dried fig, varnish, bourbon, vanilla, wet wood, liquorice, Pomme d'Amour. Taste has sweet red apple, candied plum & raisin, going over a thick toffee-like and syrupy malt base with slightly herbal and phenolic notes. Lingering dried fruits in the finish, a delicate amount of herbal hops and mainly warming bourbon alcohol, giving off a whiff of woody vanilla too. Medium body, thin syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Rich in taste but clearly thinned by alcohol too.

0.33 l can from 'Mr. Hop', best before January 2027. Hazy, golden with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish-malty, quite yeasty-spicy, gently fruity-floral aroma of banana, clove, lemon peel and gooseberry. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, rather fruity-floral and quite yeasty-spicy taste of banana, clove, grains, pear, honey and lemon peel, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium to full body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very tasty beer, great hybrid stuff, although a bit more Weizenbock than Tripel.

A classical and generous quad to find easily your dreams at night, warm alcool, powerful side of cherry and porto, dry malt, sweet. 28.03.2020, drinking it at Epalinges
Bold sweet malty notes of caramel and toffee, lightly singed brown sugar, aquavit soaked wooden notes running through out, full bodied, boozy warming spice infused finish.
Sweet malty with notes of caramel, toffee, dark dried fruit shred, full body with a plethora of spices and cognac coalescing into the warming sweet malty finish. Very nice.
