A bottle shared with my work mates at ’t Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Cloudy brown beer, small tan head. Light aged malt nose. Soft creamy palate. Caramel, creamy malt. Mild licorice spice. Finishes soft and dry. Not bad but just lacks a little cohesion.

On tap at the ’ t Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Opaque dark brown - black beer. Good cream coloured head. Light palate, a little dry. Creamy dark malt, slightly salty licorice. Some sweet cherry and red fruit underneath. Trace of dark chocolate. Bitter hop fruit with a trace of bubblegum. Delicious!

Bottle 330ml. @ home.Clear medium amber yellow color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, dusty, light nutty, light to moderate hoppy, flowers, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, dusty, hoppy and malty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110123]

33 cl bottle. Big head, creamy, off-white. Aroma’s of caramel, dried fruit, and lots of citrussy hops. Very resiny flavor, almost acidic, somewhat bitter and sweet. Strong alcohol feel (warming in the throat). Long, bitter finish. Very good.

Bottle. A clear, dark golden beer with a finger-thick off-white head. Rather alcoholic on the nose, but with enough fruityness and sugar to make it pleasant. Some spices too. A bit hot in the mouth, but as a winter beer it’s ok. Sugary, fruity flavor with a pleasant bitterness. Lasting, warm finish with canned tropical fruits and some bitterness. Full-bodied, pleasantly carbonated and too hot. A quite nice one, but too ordinary and alcoholic. 110122

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, pale golden colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white to yellow foamy head. Yeasty and moderately sweet ale malty aroma with fruity notes of apricots and tangerines, accompanied by a tinge of spicy hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light bodied with a calm carbonation. Malt-accented taste with fruity notes and a touch of bubblegum; sweet and faintly bitter, also quite slim finish. (Bottle - generously offered by fonefan, thanks - at the 16th Kerstbierfestival) The beer poured dark brown and clouyd. Its head was quite long lasting, medium sized and very light brown. Aroma had quite a lot of hops and noticeable amount of malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, sweetness, hops, fruitiness and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. Nice hoppy brew.
