Bottle from Beer in a Box. Peated and ashy with iodine, some roasted malt, whiskey, alcohol. Bitter and fairly sharp with alcohol, body could be a lot more full.
Dropwater: water and licorice. This is not what I expect when I buy a cognac barrel aged imperial stout.

33cl bottle from AbeerVinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours reddish brown, with practically no foam. Aroma is intensely malty, caramel, molasses, a little alcoholic. Body is average, with moderate carbonation. Taste is fairly sweet, toasty. Final is rather long.

Heaven Hill Barrel. Going through Mr Orlas stash. 33cl. Pours amber copper with a bubbly head. Woody and vinous. Dark fruit, toffee and caramel. Slick and vinous. Warmth. 2014. Holding up pretty damn Well. 4.0

330ml bottle from Noz, Hazebrouck. Pours dark with a thinning head that reduces to a sparse sheet. Smells naughty. Big whisky nose, fiery boozy influence with some peat.. big big beer. Wonderful.

Zwart bier met schuim wat snel weg zakt. Smaak is bitter zoet en krachtig warm met veel rum en kokos. Valt op dat het vaak aanwezige Emelisse zuurtje in dit bier volledig afwezig is. Heel goed bier.

Fles via de Emelisse webshop. Donkerbruin tot zwart bier met schuim wat snel wegzakt. Smaak is zoals vaak bij deze brouwer heel licht fruitig zuur en tegelijk krachtig bitterzoet met veel gebrande mout en wat rood fruit.
