Unclear purple body without any head, looks like a fruit smoothie. Aroma is dominating by honey, heather honey with a faint hint of blueberries. Taste is sweet but mild honey, some red berries, blueberries mild acidity and slightly vinous like home made fruit wine. Fine body and same aftertaste. Quite nice, the honey part is dominating, and the fruit part is more subdued, that’s a positive thing. Still I think this is a bit in between mead and juice for my likings, but absolutely drinkable.

Almost clear, pale golden/straw yellow, oily body without any head. Aroma has a delicate honey touch with some mature citric fruit, light marmalade, and a floral touch. Taste is sweet with honey, a mild hint of citric fruit, flowers and balancing acidity. Fine balanced body with a nice aftertaste. All over a pleasant mead where the honey runs the show without feeling sticky and one dimensional.

Bottle. It's a more or less clear one, almost colorless, still, headless and oily. Sweetish honey aroma with heather, lemon and alcohol. It's sweet, full-bodied and warming, oily and sticky, with flavors of honey, lemon, heather and a touch of caramel and nuts. Lasting finish. A bit warming and sticky perhaps, but quite nice anyway. 210918

Bottle. An unclear lilac colored mead, still and headless. Rather alcoholic aroma, with berries, honey, some heather and generic flowers. It's full-bodied, dry and still on the palate and warming. Quite sourish. Blueberry, some heather and generic flowers, with a good dash of honey. Long finish. Would've been a good idea to tone down the ABV level a bit here. 210918

Havtorn/10. Annars bra
