On tap at Scion DC pours a very hazy gold with zero head. Nice tart apple nose, apple skins, mild lemon, juicy, hints of funk. Flavor is sweet, tart, apple juice, apple cores, slightest hints of funk. Sweet, lemony finish.

On tap at Scion DC, pours a clear gold zero head. Legs like a scotch. Nose has apple notes, pear too, some mild wood, a touch earthy. Flavor has more pear, apple too, sweet honey, a little woody, a little cheesy. Full bodied.

6oz pour at Scion pours a hazy rosy caramel with zero head. Nose has dried burning pine needles, woody, earthy, a little vicks Vaporub, some sweetness, a little chestnut honey. Flavor is sweet, mildly smokey, mildly tart, earthy, some pear, piney, sprucey, a lot of forrest floor. Acetic, oily finish.

750ml bottle pours a clear gold with some fading white head. Nose is mild, cider clearly, pepper, some green berry, mild vegetables. Flavor is like the white/green end of a strawberry, fruity, tart, vegetal, sweet, a bit vinous. Finishes lightly tart. Needed more everything: cider, rhubarb, strawberry.

750ml bottle pours a hazy hold with a clump of white head that fades fast. Nose is very inviting, apples, honey, fruity chile, pink peppecorn, hints of tropical fruit, dried pear, a little roasted red bell pepper. Flavor has more peppercorn, plenty of fruit and vegetal notes, floral too, some potpourri, mild honey, sweet bell pepper. Prickly finish, mildly hot. Really well blended.

750ml bottle. Poured a clear golden color with a small fizzy white head. Aroma was some ginger and a touch of flowers. Ginger isn’t dominant like in the Gingeroot, but this one does retain a bit of that kick. Touch of floral on the finish. Delicate. Alcohol is prominent, so it is really a sipping beverage.

From clear 750ml bottle. Poured a slightly pink-hued yellow color, with a fizzy wispy head. Aroma is nice light strawberry rhubarb pie notes, nice crisp apple character. Flavor was light sweet strawberry notes, tart rhubarb. These flavors don’t overpower the cider, but are there just enough to make it quite a tasty drink. Alcohol is there, but only very slightly.

From standard clear 750ml bottle. Poured a slightly hazy yellow color, actually a touch of light pink hues in it too, with a fizzy wispy head. Aroma is light tart peach notes, sweet fruits, tart apple character. Flavor had a nice light peach character to it - a little pucker, not really all that sour though. Alcohol pretty well masked.

From standard clear 750ml bottle. Poured a mostly clear yellow color with a quick, short lived fizzy wispy head. Aroma is a touch of smoke notes - not quite meaty, but more like a light campfire note - funky notes to it - someone said blue cheese, maybe that’s right - but since I don’t like blue cheese, I didn’t really pick up on that one. Touch tart lemon zest. Nice apple character, some woody notes. GF really liked it, which I didn’t think she would.
