Bottle at RBWG 2014 grand tasting, thanks! Pours a very pale yellow with no head whatsoever. Aroma has lots of sweet honey with a bit of dry apple. Flavor is full of very sweet honey and apples with a bit of dryness to mellow out the sweetness in the finish.

Bottle in the hotel room on Sunday morning, wrapping up RBWG. Pours clear, pale yellow. It’s a very musty cider, pretty dry, not much apple sweetness. Some rotten apples on the nose. Medium bodied, still. Dry finish, some dank basement, musty apples, cobwebs, soft funk. Interesting. Takes some getting used to.

750ml bottle pours a hazy lime green, zero head, plenty of apparent carbonation. I really like the nose, candy, lime, lemon, green apple, a little grass, some mild cheese. Flavor has some strong artificial lemon candy, lime, apple, pear, straw. Clean finish. I really liked this combination.

Sampled at the source. Pours a hazy gold with zero head. Still. Nose is very unique, rotten apples, honey, charcoal ash, like a campfire that died overnight. Flavor is meaty, like cold barbeque, over ripened apple meat, honey. Full bodied finish. Really interesting, but not my cup of tea.

Sampled at the source. Pours a clear lime green with zero head. Mostly still. Nose has a blend of tart lemon and green apple skins as well as sweet apple juice. Flavor is similar, tart and sweet, fruity and lightly buttery. Clean finish. A little muddled.

750ml bottle I picked up in Franklins. Pours a clear pinky grapefruit color with some apparent bubbles but no head. Nose is quite interesting, the slightest touch of funk, apple, some brown sugar, a little buttery, unripened cherry, a little white grape. Flavor is well balanced, lightly tart, lightly sweet, cherry skin, apple skin, a little buttery. Clean, lightly peppery finish. Nice.

Bottle from the source shared in Room 116 of the Ohio University Inn, Athens, Ohio. Cloudy pale yellow color. Aroma of honey, apple flesh on a background if singed pepper flesh. Taste is fresh pepper flesh, dried apple skins. Some heat at the finish, just the right amount, and more pepper flesh. Tasty and unique.
