On cask at Bob’s Bar during the "Brew Kettle vs. White Birch Brewing Cask Battle" on 05/21/2016. Pours a clear amber-orange color with a medium white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus, hops and peppers. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, habanero and malt. The finish is fruity and hoppy with a lingering habanero pepper aftertaste. Above average overall.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, biscuit, light honey, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Fairly clean on lager flavors; some slight fruitiness and sulfur, but it’s not detrimental. Light-moderate dryness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, creamy/grainy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is a nice Munich helles style. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Fantastic aromas with awesome balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, pepper, clove, light banana, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal bitterness/yeast spiciness and slight wheat tang on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon/orange peel, coriander, pear, apple, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, herbal, grasss, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from spiciness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, moderately creamy/bready, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero alcohol warming as expected of 5.3%. Overall this is a fantastic witbier! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

12oz bottle pours out dark brown topped with a sand head. Nose is pine citrus hops and a light roast malt. Taste is more of the pine citrus dank hops a roast chocolate malt makes up the malt bill.

Bottle. Looks big and black. Taste is large and in charge. Very good carbonation for an ipa. You know this is 7% if not more. Mouthcoating bitterness in yer face. Its a facial fer sure. Big black nasty birtha butt and her sister bahsheebah. The smell is rather alarming boozy burnt ipa. Overall a massive boozy dark brew with a personality that’s in yer face.

Bot. Smells like a clean lager. :Looks like a lager. Sparkles like a lager. Taste starts off sizzling co2 and then the mild dortness sneaks in. Gets a little slick as the session continues. Becomes a little malty sweet fer sure. Slight caramel finish.

Clear golden, light amber body is well-carbonated and topped by a large white head showing good retention.
The nose is full of both herb and fruit, with some light candied citrus somewhat sweetening/balancing things and light pineapple and mango for juiciness. Cracker and biscuit like malts remain in the background while no heavy resin appears, nor alcohol. Definitely not a juice bomb and quite West Coast, as they say. Much more austere than the average NE IPA, but still very well-executed.
Soft, malty texture with creamy carbonation kicks things off the right way, with light biscuit and grain balancing lemon, candied orange and dry mango/pineapple. Light mint-like herbal suggestions add some complexity and it finishes with apricot-orange and medium bitterness. No resin or alcohol.
