Bottle thanks to JSquire, drunk 8/29/16.
Good clarity in this tangerine-golden body with a medium-sized, fairly well-retained, white head.
Big fruity, citric, punchy and aggressive nose has plentiful cherry, strawberry, ruby red grapefruit and very light pineapple. Sweet caramel malts balance, somewhat, but there’s certainly some resin and booze present here.
As with their other IPAs, it’s flavorful as hell, with big bursts of fruitiness, strong citrus and tangy pine and soft, balancing honey-caramel-like malts. Engaging carbonation and lingering pine, grapefruit and light sour-like resin. I like a lot of these flavors, but there’s just too much resin/acidity here and it fatigues the palate rather quickly.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber (almost copper) with a thin and frothy head. Aromas have quite a bit of fruit... some pear and mango seem to be the most dominant. Flavor is resin heavy up front before transitioning to a sweet maltiness and then finishing with pear and fruit. It’s interesting although the piney front is a little biting and could be toned down just a tick for my likes.

Bottle, undated, from JSquire, drunk 7/17/16.
Clear, deep bronze-copper-golden beer shows a high clarity and medium-sized white head atop with moderate retention.
Heavily fruity, moderately juicy nose has plentiful ruby red grapefruit that mixes with the liberal base malts to give a very citrus juice experience. Nothing wrong with that...Some pine creeps in, but it’s not obnoxious or overdone. Light cherry lingering as well as very light heat. Malts definitely keep the big citrus and pine notes in check without themselves being too overbearing, so that’s pretty impressive.
Nicely sweet, juicy and malty, without being sugary or cloying. Soft, malty texture, with medium amounts of mostly engaging carbonation. Cherries, grapefruits, wintergreen and light pine with some lightly sharp bitter notes on the finish. Quite nice all around and definitely well-made stuff. Finds a very unique line between West Coast and New England.

This beer pours a slightly hazy yellow-gold color with a medium white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. Fruit, wheat and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of mildly funky citrus, herbal yeast and malt. The finish is fruity with a citrus and yeast aftertaste. Above average overall.
