Bottled (from K Citymarket, Vaasa). Amber colour, small off-white foamy head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is fruits, caramel, some mild bready notes as well as mild spicy notes. Flavour is fruity and floral hops with a quite dry wooden bitterness lurking as well. Mild herbs and spices are there too.

Bottled alc. 7.6% (Arkadia Alko, BB 12/2012)
Dark red color, small beige head. Strong smoke and berries in the nose, hints of barnyard. Medium-bodied. Nice smoked ham flavor, but not much else, light hops and wood. Some lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Bamberg and Saazer are there, so not totally hopeless, but I prefer Schlenkerla over this.

Bottle. Almost black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and coffee. A lot of coffee in the taste. Nice and long aftertaste. A very good beer.

Bottle from Kris Wines, London. Hazy dark amber pour with a medium off white head. Aromatic hoppy snout with notes of citrus and melon. Really excellent hop bitterness in full effect here. Further fruit and some sweetness present too. Also some spiciness, but this also has a kind of softness at the same time. This just exudes finesse with the ABV really well masked.. Excellent beer and I can’t help but feel this is underrated on here.

Bottle at The Cad’s Pure Mad Rocket Mon The Beezer Tasting. Pours a rich, cloudy orange-gold with a bubbly, white head. Wood and pine hops in the nose, with hints of orange. Malty flavor to start, lightly bready with some caramel, pine bitterness. Medium in body with average carbonation. So so finish, reasonably well balanced with some light drying, pine and mild sugar. Decent.

First Snowfall of the Season tasting in Odense. Amber with a small white head. Weak aroma of malt and dried fruit, but the first thing I noticed was an odd, cheese-like off-note. Fruity flavour with strong alcohol and a raw bitterness. Toffee and biscuit maltiness in the aftertaste

330ml bottle from Alko Arkadia

Pours dark orange with a light white head. Great fruity aroma. Taste is a bit dank, but palate has a lot of hops and nice bitterness. A bit unbalanced, but still a pretty good double IPA.

33cl bottle from De Bierkoning. Pours a dark brown-red color, with hardly any head. Aroma’s of sweet fruit, caramel, sticky toffee. Flavor has malty sweetness, sweet fruit and some caramel. Full bodied, but the high alcohol content is well hidden. Finishes rather bitter. Pretty nice, clearly stronger than a regular bock, but still has all the characteristics. Good.
