Description
Established 1996 on the third generation family farm amidst the spectacular Mourne Mountain range in the north of Ireland, Whitewater Brewery still retains the passion and desire to brew beers with fantastic flavours.

We started with an 800 Litre brew size and currently we’re handcrafting 6500 Litre brews and bottling our 10 different beers on site. On 4th February 2016 we obtained Planning Permission to build a new brewery and after 20 years the next chapter begins. Our new brewery has the capacity to produce around 40,000 litres a month and has scope for further expansion.

We source spring water from the Mourne Mountains which is blended with American, Australian and New Zealand hops to create best-selling beers.

The company produces bottle-conditioned beers and ales and also supplies products in kegs to customers throughout Ireland. We’re expecting wild times ahead along with great beers….pick up a Whitewater and enjoy the journey.

Dobre, tresciwe i bardzo wytrawne piwo typu stout. Polnocna Irlandia z wielka kremowa czapa, a wlasciwie z kapeluszowa piana, ktora do tego jest trwala. Ciemny kolor z czerwonymi odcieniami. posmak czekoladowy i palony slod. Te dwa zmysly wspaniale sie lacza.

Dark brown pour with a medium khaki head that diminishes steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt and ripe fruit. Light body with flavors of earthy malt, roasted coffee and a touch of dark fruit. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle - thanks Ben! Pours clear auburn with a large pillowy beige head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is caramel, roasted malts, toffee, cardboard. Flavor is the same, medium sweet, coffee, light finishing coffee bitterness and astringence. Medium body. I would have thought it was a brown ale, but perhaps it is a bit too hoppy for that.

Bardzo dobre piwo z północy Irlandii. Kolor jak na porter jasne, nie było czarne po prostu ciemnobrazowe. Piana kremowa gruba i utrzymujaca sie sporo czasu. Smak cudny, tresciwy mocmy akcent aromatycznego chmielu co zadkie w porterze. Pozostale aromaty to karmelowe i lekko czekoladow-piernikowe. Swietna mieszanka smaku.

Bottle at my parents, from Tesco Eire - thanks to the old man, 25/01/13. Clear copper with an off white/beige head that retains well. Nose is dark malt, berry fruit, raisens, spice. Taste comprises dark malts, biscuit, toffee, spice. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation perhaps a little over so, dry finish. Ok drinkable stuff but pretty whelming!

Bottle at the parents, sourced from Tesco by the Old Man - cheers, 26/01/13. Pours a ruby red copper colour with a thin off white head that clears to the edge and leaves a swirl of film. Not exactly Porter-esque in appearance! Nose is light roast malt, dark fruits, plums, dates, hint of spice, light chocolate. Taste follows nose, roast malt, some milky chocolate, Oreo biscuits, tangy dark fruits in the background, molasses, tobacco. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, fairly smooth on the palate, dry finish.

Lager style aroma and texture, but there is an element of ale in here too. Nevertheless it doesn’t stand out. Pale yellow colour with no head.

Bitter that is slightly better than average. It has some mild biscuit notes and a some even milder fruit notes. It’s bitterness is its dominant character and its full body makes this a touch milder than it might be. Deep golden colour and keeps a thick head.

Pigs Ear. The Long Good Friday teamed up with ChrisO. Clear gold - amber beer. Suddy off white head. Palate is light and fairly crisp. Passable hops - tangy dried fruits and a little orange. Semi dry finish with more mild dried fruits. Okay.
