bottle with thanks to pivnizub! Hazy golden colour, creamy head. Malty base with a yeasty-fruity touch, nice aromatic and bitter hops, slightly resiny and grassy. Pleasantly yeasty, lively but smooth palate.

Leicht nussige Hopfennoten. Das Bier wirkt etwas abgestanden, sehr wenig CO2, feinperlig. Etwas Honig, dumpfes helles Malz. Wenig aromatisch ab dem späten Mittelteil und dem Abgang, kaum vorhandener Nachgeschmack. 8/6/7/7/11/7

Bamberg Bash Day 3. Tap at the brewpub. Clear dark brown amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate is light and smooth and a little dry. Sweetish malts with light sweet powdered chocolate. Little tangy dark fruits. Light dry finish. Pretty well joined up and tasty schwarz.

Day 3 of the post Xmas Bamberg Jolly, bottle at Wirtshaus Weißbräu Huber - Freising, 26/01/14. Extremely dark mahogony brown with a moderate light tan covering that dissipates but retains. Nose is dark toffee, brown bread, light yeast tang. Taste comprises toffee, raisens, brown bread, light cocoa. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweet notes in the close. Solid enough Schwarz.
