Bottle, 5.1%. Dusty and faintly malty aroma. Clear shiny golden colour. Small fizzy white head. The flavour is ok malty and papery. Low bitterness. Slightly acidic finish. Pretty standard Helles, but not bad.

0.5 l bottle from 'REWE' (Wyk auf Föhr), best before February 2024. Clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty, a bit grassy-spicy aroma of grains, vanilla and light straw. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy taste of grains, straw and some vanilla, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Thin to medium body, very smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent Helles.

Bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours ever so slightly hazy copper - amber with a sturdy fluffy white head. The aroma is brown bread, woody, earthy, nutty, cereal, rivita and a hint of tangy orange marmalade. The taste is crispy, dry, firm, toasted grain, fairly robust malt base, doughy brown bread, some warming peppery spice, cereal, earth, touch of marmalade, wood and leather with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Fairly hearty stuff for the abv.
