Amber with a frothy, white head. Caramel and honey aroma with herbal undertones. A bit dank. Taste is bitter and increasingly metallic at the finish, which is where this one falls down after a quite decent start. Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation. Drinkable.

500ml pop-top bottle from the Offie, Leicester and drunk at home. Light gold, clear with visible carbonation and a large white head. Light aroma of sweet grain, lemon zest, floral notes. Sweet tastte, some bready yeast. Light astringent hop of the finish. Heavy carbonation on the lighter oily body. Nothing too fancy about this one, but it's a decent helles.

Bottle from Raynville. It pours clear yellow - gold with a small fluffy white head. The aroma is grain, grass, slightly floral, hay, cereal, touch of nuttiness, earth and light cardboard. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter - sweet, grainy, hay, cereal, nutty, floral, straw, light apple and melon with a dry finish. Average body and carbonation. Not a huge amount of depth, but it is pretty drinkable.

Bottle online from Raynville Superstore. Pours a clear golden colour with a medium sized throthy white head. Aromas of grains, hay, white bread and honey. Taste has grains, hay, bread, biscuits, cardboard and a little peppery spice. Malty beer with hardly any bitterness. Full body, average carbonation and slightly oily mouthfeel. Decent enough but also a bit dull and boring.

Bottle. Clear pale gold with an ok white head. Aroma of spicy and floral hops, grains and crackers. Taste of bread, grains, malts, dough and floral and spicy hops. Low bitterness. Medium carbonation. A little bit flat and stale. Basically an inoffensive and mild Helles.

Bottle. Clear pale gold sporting a decent white white head. Aroma of grains and earthy/floral hops. Taste of grains, grass, minerals, bread and dough. Moderate bitterness. Medium carbonation. Pretty mild but balanced. A case of this shared with the right people plus a couple of thrash metal LPs would make for an evening well spent.
