Bottle. Pours a muddy brown with small off white head. The aroma is leather, wood, funk, dark fruit. Slick body, funky, wood, leather, sour fruit, vinegar, dry finish, very good.

It is a Real Ale brew, that is good. Of all the Belgian ales, this style is low on the list for me, not so good. This 12 oz can was spotted at the Lakeline Total Wine in Cedar Hill a few weeks ago, I have a snifter ready to catch the pour. A mostly clear, light gold body with a serious head of totally white foam. I will say that the scent is inviting, yellow fruit, grain, bread and some spice. And the drink is thinner than hoped for, peaches, yeast, spice, apricots, white bread and some hoppy bitterness. No bell ringer, but it is all right in the style.

Another 12 oz can picked up on the singles shelf at the close-by HEB, I am pleased to get a Real Ale beer. We are hoping to make it to their taproom again late next month on a trip to the Hill Country, nice place to drink a brew. I pulled out the ABGB tulip glass for this sampling, the can is opened and I make a pour. I see a cloudy, medium gold body completed by a thin but persistent skim of completely white foam. The scent is fruit, some decent hoppiness and grain, nothing out of the ordinary really. The drink, well, it really takes a step up. A bit of citrus, mango, pine, white bread and some melon. More bitterness than your average NEIPA, good by me. It tends to the dry side and the sensation is rather full, a contribution from the fairly high ABV I think. The taste is good, the label is attractive, RA looks to have hit their stride with this beer.

12 oz. can from Total Wine, San Antonio, TX. Pours a crystal clear light yellow color with a fizzy white head and decent retention. A few spots of lacing. Basic grainy malt aroma. Very grainy pale malt flavor with some diacetyl in the finish. Medium to light body. High carbonation. Low bitterness. A bit weak.
