Description
The brewery Fuglsang can rightly call itself Denmark's oldest family-owned brewery. Søren Christian Fuglsang founded the brewery in 1865, and today it is some of his great-grandchildren who, with respect for the craft and the raw materials, produce solid South Jutland beer.

The family also runs its own export malt factory, which is Denmark's largest and one of the few independents in Europe - it is the one that supplies a large part of the good malt to Fuglsang's beer.

Trinkbar. 7/7/8/6/6/7

On tap at Ølfestival 2011. It pours a creamy off-white head of finger thick size over a clear, golden body. Lacings left as well, looking really good. Grass and pale malts in the aroma, quite pleasant. That goes for the flavor too, with grass and some fruityness on a foundation of pale malts. Grassy and bitter finish. Medium body. Overall, a quite nice one. 110528

Fra dagligvarebutikk i København. Drukket hjemme 14 Nov 11. Lys gylden. Høyt luftig skum som varer en stund. Svakt fruktig & krydret aroma. Smaken er søt malt med litt krydder. Forbausende vassen. Ikke helt god ettersmak. KI=7

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of thewolf. Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Sweet caramellish aroma with a discreet whiff of dusty hops. Fairly light-bodied. Caramel, slightly roasted, bready and nutty with a slight cardboard edge and a surprisingly decent hoppyness in the finish. Not too shabby. 141111
