Description
«Atrium» is a Latin word meaning « entrance hall », a place from which we have access to other environments. The Atrium Brewery emanates from a passion for beer, from a strong will to attract other people towards a universe rich of stories, savors and flavors : this is what we are commissioned to do! Therefore we brew unconventional beers making use of high quality products only, carefully selected to lead to a unique sensory experience.

28 April 2019. At Zythos Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, 77ships & tderoeck! Hazy black, unstable, foamy, dark beige head; lots of lacing. Aroma of toast, walnut, earth, wet leaves, orange peel, biscuit, pink grapefruit. Taste is light to medium malty sweet, restrained chocolate & nuts, biscuit & raisin, revolving around a hoppy bitter core of pink grapefruit peel, orange zest, mango, accents of earth & toast. Dry, piney hoppy finish, more orange & grapefruit peel, still quite toasty too. Medium body, slick-creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Quite fruity, smooth Black IPA.

28 April 2019. At Zythos Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, 77ships & tderoeck! Hazy black, small, unstable, foamy, dark beige head. Aroma of cinnamon, brownie dough, hazelnut paste, soggy biscuit, coffee liqueur, milk chocolate. Taste is medium malty sweet, lots of chocolate, praliné almost, brownie & vanilla touch, nuttiness evokes bitter notes of coffee roast & cookie spices with vague dark fruits underneath, leading to a dryish, earthy hoppy finish, where chocolate, cookie & cream linger, topped off with some nicely warming kahlua-like alcohol. Full body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Very smooth, sweet, creamy Stout.

Donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht bitter en licht zoet met iets van noten, chocolade en koffie. Mondgevoel is iets te waterig naar mijn mening.

27 April 2019. At Zythos Bierfestival. Deputy Taster: Anke. Cheers to Ama Deke, Erwin, John & Meeki! Hazy dark brown, lasting, small, foamy, beige head. Aroma of leather, milk chocolate, nutmeg, praliné, vanilla custard, mocha, raisin, caramel sauce. Taste is medium to heavy malty sweet, very creamy & chocolatey, biscuity & caramelly base, faint nuts & dried dark fruits, balanced out by bitter notes of coffee roast & cookie spices. Dryish, herbal hoppy finish, lingering nuts, cream, ‘woody vanilla’ & warming coffee liqueur alcohol. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Very pleasant surprise here, rich & tasty.

27 April 2019. At Zythos Bierfestival. Deputy Taster: Anke. Cheers to Ama Deke, Erwin, John & Meeki! Hazy red-brown, lasting, small, foamy, tan head. Aroma of walnut shell, pink grapefruit, orange peel, mocha, tea leaves, red grape, raisin, unripe strawberry. Taste is light fruity sweet, notes of raisin, orange & pink grapefruit, bordering on bitter, making way for hoppy notes of pine, grass, herbs & unripe mango, bready malts underneath. Dry, piney hoppy finish, lingering grapefruit peel & orange. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Interesting brew, nice balance between the components.
