Bottle as Vejle Bryghus Imperial Stout Bourbon. Pours pitch black with no head. Aroma is roasted malt, licorice and coffee. Taste is extremely sour and body is totally flat. Obviously this beer has been damaged or stored incorrectly, so the rating is misleading. I’ll re-rate when I get a new bottle.

Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, light to moderate nectar sweet malt, light to moderate hoppy. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Bottle. Pours opaque brownish black with huge light brown head. Aroma is intense with lots of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, toasted bread and some sweet ripe fruit (apples and plum). Taste is light sweet, medium acidic, medium bitter and light umami. Body is oily with light crisp carbonation. Finish is long and eventually light sweet with notes of fruit, chocolate, nuts, caramel, coffee, yoghurt, lactose. Rich and very pleasant.
