Rerate on draft at Beer Run. Taste is nutty malty notes, a bit of a metallic note and raisins. Aroma of raisins and caramel. Medium bodied. Better than the old version, but still not too great. 5/3/6/3/12 16.9 oz. bottle from Wine Warehouse. Dark brown pour with a very thin head. Overpowering caramel aroma with some grain and mocha notes. Taste is earthy with fruity esters, caramel and bitter coffee. Finish is a bit acrid and the body is a bit thin. A rollercoaster of a beer. 3/4/6/3/11

Bottle on 07/15/2008. Very slightly hazy copper amber body with a medium frothy white head. Sweet nutty and grainy aroma. Sweet nutty and grainy flavor with a bit of sour green apple. As I further sip on the glass, the infection becomes more clear, this is getting kinda rough, and I’m fairly disappointed. Medium body with moderate carbonation, but a bit harsh to drink.

Bottle from Wine Warehouse Charlottesville. Pours orange with a small head that disappears quickly. Very bitter acrid aroma. Taste is much the same with a caramel sweetness. This is an odd brew.
