Description

Bottle from bierzwerg.sk. Hazy orange golden color with medium white head. Strong citrus hoppy aroma with notes of tropical fruit. Slid malty base, followed with aromatic hops, tropical fruits, grapefruit zest, peppery notes and Belgian yeast. Long citrus hoppy bitter finish. Tasty.

Bottle from bierzwerg.de. Dark golden color with huge off-white head towering over my glass. Malt, citrus hops in aroma. Solid malty base with honey, followed with citrus and piney hops. Hoppy bitter finish. Nothing wrong with this beer, easy drinkable, refreshing.

Sharp aroma of peated smoke. Tastes like that as well. Has a fruity note to it. Nice, but a bit flat.

Bottle from ABC Beers courtesy of Deanso. Poured a clear light amber with a big frothy white head and low carbonation. The aroma is of course smoky, resin, medicinal. The flavour is medium bitter with a medium bodied weak palate with a short bitter finish.

330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Extremely peaty, smoky aroma with a "chemical" touch somewhere between tar, glue, vulcanised rubber. Taste is slightly retracted while sporting identical flavours, with additional, subtle, pale malty sweetness. Relatively light and drinkable. Sadly the smoky notes have an overemphasised tendency towards the peaty TCP pole with some sulfuric off-flavours, whereas I’d prefer the more fleshy smoky notes from gammon or bacon. Not bad, though.

[10/10/13] Draught at In De Wildeman in Amsterdam. Hazy golden with a white head. Smoky aroma with bonfire, iodine and a lot of peat. Sweet malty flavor, smoky, peaty, a bit honey-ish, a bit caramelly. A slightly bitter finish. Medium-bodied. A bit too sweet but quite decent.

On tap at In De Wildeman. Pours a clear gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces lightly. Aroma has a combination of light fruit, light citrus and a good amount of straw. Flavor has light fruits and straw throughout with a touch of grass in the finish.

Arends Nest, Amsterdam. Keg. Bright clear gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and dry with crispy minerals. Pretty strong TCP! Smoke and a little creamy malt. Bleh!

On tap at In de Wildeman. Clear deep golden colour, white head. Aroma of peat, bready malts. Flavour is rather sweet, malty, bread, minerals, peat, sweet fruity finish, fizzy. Light-bodied. Too sweet IMHO.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Yeasty-spicy cara-malty aroma with notes of brioche, as well as citric and slightly sweaty hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied at best with a moderate carbonation. Slightly bready (cara-)malty taste with yeasty and moderately fruity notes, hints of grass; sweet-bitter, delicately fruity and moderately grassy hoppy and spicy finish. I definitely prefer the other one (Tasty Lady). 26.IX.13
