amber pour, very small thin head, that didnt last very long. Aroma is quite malty, no maple to speak of. Flavour is again, malty, but not a good malt, a cheap tasting malt. Finish is bitter but in a bad way. No way did i taste any maple, all i tasted was bad beer. Drain pour.

Wow, very nice! the vanilla really comes out, its subtle, but its there in a big way. very smooth, and the coffee, and smokiness of the porter are still very detectable, superb!

2005 vintage at the toronto beer fest, volo, and the beer bistro.
all 3 times, i’ve been very very please with this beer. Amazing aroma of coffee, chocolate, and smoke. JET BLACK appearance, flavour is great, lots of smokiness with a great coffeeish aftertaste, and some nice bitterness. wonderfull!

orange, amber color. some hops in the aroma, but its faint, more malt than i would expect from an IPA, the bitterness is there, but i’m missing the floral citrus of the hops i would come to expect. i think this beer has gone downhill over the years, I’ll stick with the tankhouse in the Toronto area.

Wow, Got hops?
my lord, yes, there are definetly 100IBU’s in here. i LOVE hoppy beers, but my god. Almost have trouble finishing this one. Initial aroma is well, HOPS, quite pungent also. Overall very well done.

Draft: Poured a yellow color ale with a nice large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry citrusy hops notes with light malt notes. Taste is also a mix of dry citrusy hoppy notes with clean malt notes and bitter finish. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Standard APA with some bitterness.

A hazed milky yellow ipa with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light tropical fruits, very nice and classic. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, citrus pulp, very nice. On tap at brewery.
