Description
We are an independent craft producer of cask and bottle-conditioned beers. Brewing behind the legendary & historic pub, The Talbot at Knightwick in Worcestershire.

The brewery was first opened in 1997 by the Clift family. Annie and Wiz Clift ran The Talbot at Knightwick, Worcestershire while their brother Philip ran the family farm at Lulsley Court nearby. The Clifts had been growing hops since the 19th century and a logical progression of the farm and pub businesses was to brew beer from their own hops to sell in their own pub. In August 1997 the brewery equipment was installed behind the pub and in September 1997 Chris Gooch joined as brewer.

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A hazy deep red beer with a medium light orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of fruit. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of fruit as well as notes of over ripe fruits and dusty hops. OK body.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a fluffy brown head. The aroma is nutty combined with notes of berries, but also hints of sourness. The flavor has notes of metal, berries - especially raspberries, and nuts, leading to an acidic woody end. [5/4/4/3/7=2.3]

Bottle picked up at a farm shop near Evesham, Good brown colour nice and clear, quite malty and very nice clean taste an extremely enjoyable beer after having the slightly unexciting Teme ’This’ beforehand. Very, very good.

Hazy brown color, off-white head. Aroma is very bad, smells sharp and sour, like carnivor faeces. Taste is bit better, quite bitter, roasted malty. Still, obvious drain pour.

(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy, dark amber with a creamy, off-white head. Light tartness in the nose. Medium body, weak nutty notes and a marked, bitter finish. The least sour of the three Teme Valley beers I’ve had, but still rather hopeless. "Wotever next?" the label asks - well, for sure it’s not gonna be another Teme Valley beer. 231205

(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy amber colour with a nice, creamy, off-white head. Vaguely tart, citrusy nose. Quite light-bodied. Dominated by a marked sourness - but no real sense of malt. Dry, hoppy finish. Another infected and explosive beer from Teme Valley. 231205

(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy, pale amber with a handsome, creamy, off-white head. Very distinct Brett in the nose - some wild yeast must have infected this. Very light-bodied - almost watery. The Brett doesn’t relly leave any immense sourness, only a slight citric edge. Dry, hoppy finish. The beer is obviously off somehow, but not unpleasant as such. Extremely pressurized. 231205

Brown color. A bit cheesy/yeasty aroma. Very good malty (quite dry in the beginning; becomes more mellow later) and hoppy example. Strong final with a lot of caramel as well.
