Description
Legend Brewing Company is a commercial microbrewery providing true premium beers to many of the best pubs and restaurants in Richmond and other areas of Virginia since January, 1994. Our mission is to bring to our customers the finest and freshest brews as flavorful alternatives to mass-marketed mainstream products. We're one of the few craft breweries in this region producing both lagers and ales, which require different yeasts and maturation conditions. All Legend beers are unpasteurized and made from only two-row and specialty barley malt, hops, water and yeast.

Draft at Yard House-Springfield. Normal looking pour, faint aroma, then goes horribly wrong in the taste. Metallic bitterness, cola sweetness. Not sure what this is supposed to be, but not very good. No drains nearby....

Beautiful clear ruby and pink-tinted copper coloured body with bright bronze highlights and a thick, four centimetre tall off-white head - very nice. Aroma of grass, flowers, hay, sugars and quite a lot of fruit - pears, apples, grapes and citrus all come through. Light to Medium-bodied; Clean and fresh malt flavours with a subdued sweetness, body and especially light hopiness that don’t stand out, but are very fresh and clean flavoured. Aftertaste has no bitterness, no pungency and a very polished and refined malt backbone with some light sugars, a faint bit of hops and some fruit elements as well. Overall, a very nicely layered beer with a good backbone and some smooth elements throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Trader Joe’s in Arlington (Clarendon),Virginia on 12-March-2016 for US$1,50 sampled at home in Washington on 27-April-2016.

Pencil shavings aroma, hints of orange and maybe caraway. Tea colored, medium yellow head, good lacing. Pencil shavings, bread, orange peel. Full body, easy carbonation. Dull hop profile, probably due to age.
