500 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with medium than head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving nice lacing. Aromas of raisins, dark chocolate. and roasted malts. A bit metallic. Flavors of heavily roasted malts, dry unsweetened chocolate, and earthy grass. Leans towards a dark ale.

On tap at Craft. Clear dark brown beer. Residual pale tan head. Smooth palate, low carbonation. A little tangy malt. Mild juicy dark red fruits. Very mild roast. Smooth finish. Not bad.

On tap at Craft. Very dark red - brown beer, residual tan head. Light semi dry palate. Low carbonation. Supermild dark malt. Tangy with a whisper of roast. Semi dry finish. Standard stuff.

On tap at Craft. Very light haze on this gold beer. Light palate, smooth mild carbonation. Whisper of sulphur. Mild minerals. Very mild citrus. Bordering on insipid - just about saved by whispers of orange and honey.

Cask-conditioned at the Black & Gold beer festival, the Gryphon, Bristol 2/9/2012. Deep gold with a slight, off-white head. Light citrus fruit and grassy hop aroma. Flavour had some summer fruits, cereal malts and decent, bitter finish. Ok.

Great aroma for a hopped beer, but as far as texture is concerned it is noticeably heavy hopped and not always that pleasant. Fruit flavours are evident.

Cask at The Moon in the Square, Bournemouth. Now let me firstly say, this is a great ale! A clear medium amber pour with little head and no lace. A really fruity aroma leading to an amazing hop explosion! It had a wonderfully complex set of flavours with a surprisingly smooth edge and citrus notes. The bitterness sits on the palate for a good while longer too. A really special ale which I wish was more widely available. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bright golden, crystal clear, frothy white head than dissipates, some lacing
Aroma - juicy fresh grapefruit, hint of lemon, golden quit sweet pale malts, slight floral note, soft orange zest, very slight grass, fresh aroma
Taste - citrus grapefruit, fairly bitter zest tempered by the golden bit spicy sweet pale malts, bit of lemon zest, slight creaminess, very fresh flavour
Palate - soft carb, medium body, bit oily but still light mouthfell without being cloying. Bitter zest in the middle and a little creamy again, the 6% is noticeable but itโs still crisp. Finish - more bitter zest citrus, some more spicy hop comes through, dry, lingering bitter finish

Bottled@chriso. Deep ruby colour, big fluffy beige head. Aroma is oatmeal, mild roast, some liquorice and mild toffeeish and malty notes. Flavour is roasted malts, liquorice, some slight raisins and mild ashes.
