Straight from the barrel at the Bad Staffelstein bierfest, 15 August 2014, as my free beer. Amber, with a decent, off-white, head. Pleasant lagerbier, with some caramel, a touch of citrus and leafy hops, leading to a soft finish. Enjoyable drinking.

On tap at the brewery. Clear amber lasting white head. Yes toffee in mouth very clean well made. Some hop on finish. Very competent. Clean.

Draught @ Brauerei-Gasthaus Thomann, Altmainstraße 5, Bad Staffelstein-Wiesen, Bavaria, Germany 96231.Murky medium amber orange colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is light malty, wheat, moderate yeasty, banana, yeast. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, banana, phenol notes. Body is medium, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft. [20110710]

Draught @ Brauerei-Gasthaus Thomann, Altmainstraße 5, Bad Staffelstein-Wiesen, Bavaria, Germany 96231.Clear medium orange amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, nutty peel, earthy notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, sweet dusty malt, malty, nutty peel - earthy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110710]

Sehr frischer Antrunk von leichter Malzigkeit und Herbe. Bleibend, das Bier ändert sich kaum und bleibt auch in der Intensität gleich. Leicht hopfig, ansonsten wenig aromatisch, dafür süffig. Der richtige Spagat wird hier nicht gefunden, das Bier könnte aromatischer sein. 11/9/10/8//8

Hefiger, süffiger und bananiger Antrunk mit würzig-herbem Beiton, sehr süffig. Mittel-würzig im Mittelteil, die Bananigkeit bleibt bestehend, nur wenig herb. Nettes Weizen, leider aber ohne Tiefgang. 10/9/9/9//9

Hazy pale yellow with a medium white head. Yeasty aroma with wheat and banana. Sweet and yeasty aroma with wheat and banana. Fruity without being cloying.

Clear amber with a medium off white head. Malty aroma with hints of grassy hops. Flavour had toasted malt, caramel and grassy hops. Finished rather dry and bitter.

Golden-amber. Malty, lightly caramelly and maybe a bit metallic. Fresh-tasting, slightly biscuity and nice hops. Great balance.

Cloudy and tan with a fluffy head. Some light banana on the nose and slightly rustic. Quite sweet, with lots of banana. A rich, flavoursome wheat with good balance. My kind of wheat.
