Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy dark straw colour, fair sizedhead. Fruity papery nose. Mid-sweet with spritz rounded mouthfeel. Mildly malty and relatively low on esters. Drier finish. Refreshing, but not in possession of huge character.

Draught at the brewpub. Weak wheat aroma, not really spicy or anything. Cloudy dark orange colour. Stable whiteish head. The flavour is weak, not spicy or citric. Clean enough. Hint of the same nuttiness as in their Dunkel.

Draught at the brewpub as Thomann dunkles Lager. Lagery aroma. Clear dark amber colour. Stable off-white head. The flavour starts off a little spicy, from the hops, I suppose. Then comes a distinct nutty flavour, well-known from British ales.

On draught at the brewery: Dark brown; a rich malty aroma (roasted malts, liquorice) dominates the taste; quite full bodied, low carbonated; hops and (roasted) malts in the finish. Very good "franconian" Dunkel !
