Bomber from the Natomas BevMo. Pours bright copper with a creamy beige head. Nice rather citrus hop aroma. Flavor seems to have both resin and citrus. Ok malt backbone. Drinks fine.

Bottle from a trade with cbkschubert. Pours hazy orangish color with off white head. Aromas of grapefruit rind and some caramel. Lots of bitterness and some pine hops. Bittering hops totally dominate the flavor, very unbalanced. Smells better than it tastes. Medium body with average carbonation. Thanks Craig.

Bottle from a trade with cbkschubert. Pours hazy copper color with off white head. Aromas of caramel and iced tea. Not really any hops in the nose. Not any hops in the flavor. Toasted malt and caramel flavors and not all that good. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Thanks Craig.

Bomber from the Natomas BevMo. Pours hazy orange gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is mildly citrus and earthy. It’s astringent. Starts with an earthy note, develops to citrus, moves to banana, and has a strong finishing flavor that does suggest barnyard in a metallic way. Smells right; sort of tastes right. This is pretty different, but I am still willing to say barnyard in the end. Fortunately the banana didn’t persist. It’s even going a little citrus peel with time.

Bottle. Pours with a hazy penny hued body with a small, bone hued off-white head with good lace. Pretty looking beer. Aromas of pine, tropical fruit, citrus. A noticeable smokey phenol that is off putting (a bit leather like, possible sanitation problem?). Sawdust/papermill. Light malt sweetness. Flavors of pine, citrus, strawberry jam. More notes of the smokey phenolic (off-flavor). Tastes like the beer has a bit of beechwood smoked malt (thats the off-component). A bit of a fruit hop presence that reminds me a bit of columbus. Some pine, alcohol. Medium bubbles, a bit creamy, some alcohol. Decently well done. The 16th Century Tres Vieux anecdote is asinine. Other than the smoke aroma/flavor it is a good beer. Pretty fresh tasting, and one of the better Hermitage/BevMo products.

POurs clear dark copper with a creamy/bubbly 3 finger beige head. Aroma is sort of cat pee/evergreen. Med+ body. Nice malt backbone wholly submerged by rough grapefruit rind. Nice bitter, hoppy drink. Mellow in a harsh way.

Bomber from the Natomas BevMo. Pours very dark copper with a creamy beige head. Flavor is roast malt, but smooth, with a lot of floral and citrus hop aspects. There’s enough hop to burn membrane a bit. Interesting and good very bitter ale.

Bottle from a trade with cbkschubert. Pours slightly hazy amber color with beige head. Aromas of citrus, pine and grapefruit. Bitter grapefruit balanced nicely with sweet caramel. There’s a little bit of pine in there also. Medium body with average carbonation and a lightly sticky mouthfeel. A nice brew. Thanks Craig.
