Tmavy Special, 6.1%, draught pour at the brewpub. It's a very dark brown with a white head. Aromas & tastes of dark fruits, caramel, herbs, toffee, brown bread & roasted malt. Medium body. Smooth light bitter finish. Enjoyable

Tap at the brewery. Thin body, light carbonation. Med-high bitterness, low sweetness, Feels kinda old, bubbles disappeared, instead feels a bit dull, metallic. Hoppiness feels old, grassy, dull. Med-light diacetyl present too. Average this one, they can do better.

Tap at the brewpub. Split this one out as at least in early 2023, likely in 2022, they made it 14°, which is miles further than the previous 12°/13° incarnations. Putting the 13.5°/5.1% version with the initial 12°/5% version was a ridiculous decision by someone anyway (not helped by the brewery's inconsistent labeling when it was starting out), but it's impossible to split properly nowadays. Anyway. Blackish body, lasting thick creamy head. Creamy aroma, raisins, light coffee. Lightly tart sweetish smooth taste, roasty, bit nutty and smokey. Quite nice overall, a genuine and genuinely good example of the style.

Tap at the brewpub. Hazy orange, slightly greyish somehow, off-white head. Mango and light buttery notes in the aroma. Mango dominates the sweetish, soft, creamy taste, lightly unclean seeming, before heading into a dryish finish. The base seems questionable, like someone salvaged a botched beer with a heap of mango + maybe lactose, so it would be tolerable. Whatever the story is, even if they started out with a plan to brew it like this, 125czk/0.3l for this is a disgrace, lowering the overall score because of it.

Tap at U Tří Růží. Listed as 5.5%. Amber, cream head. Floral aroma with grainy crackers. Light bodied, obviously fresh. Slightly sweet caramelised crackers, firm bitterness with floral and spicy notes decisive at the end. Slips down.

(Draught at U Trí Ruzí, Prague, 21 July 2023) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, grapefruit, lemon peel and pine needles. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, grass, peaches, pine needles and a balanced citric/piney bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty, with a generous hop presence. Very nice.
