I don't even know why I ordered this, damn tavour descriptions and drunk me, I don't even like pumpkin ales unless their BA. That lingering nutmeg/allspice finish always kills me. Lingering bitterness that no one gets off real pumpkin pie. Good upfront!

1 pint can. Pale slightly hazy yellow, thin head, no retention. Aroma of grain, pale malts, grass, light citrus, herbs. Taste is sweet, grainy, syrupy, light earthy hop. Mild bitterness, light to moderate body, carbonation is moderate and fine. Its a well made American pale lager but its not a great beer.

Pint can, Kroger Rio Hill. Black, thick, soft dark brown head. Maple syrup, chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt nose. Flavor is maple, ginger, chocolate, cocoa, caramel, roasted malt. Enjoyable!

750 ml corked and caged. Aroma is boozy, clove, nutmeg, pumpkin, woody. Pours hazy copper with a quickly collapsing off-white head. Taste is sweet and spicy with flavors of rum, pumpkin pie. A little thin and watery. A little too boozy and thin for me.

Last pumpkin beer of the season for me. Hope you’re having a Happy Halloween! Hardywood Rum Barrel Pumpkin 12.3% 21 IBU Apparently made with Caribbean dark rum barrels, yum. Nice dark orange-brown with little foam which is expected from a BA beer. Big spice cinnamon and allspice but almost medicinal with sweet raisins notes. Very boozy and lots of heat with dark syrupy fruits, spice and medicine. Think port with your medicine on a cold winter day. Interesting and pretty good but I think even more aging might be better.

Bottle, slightly aged. Amber pour, low head. SPicy nose, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, stone fruit, spicy yeast, biscuity malts. Flavor is spicy, sweet, fruity. Pumpkin pie spices are main, though not crazy over the top. Alcohol hidden well. Nice enough.

Bottle. Golden beer with an off-white head. Cinnamon and spice aroma with cookie and butter. Cookie and spice flavor with light butter, light caramel, and coconut. Medium bodied. Spice and cinnamon linger with caramel, cookie, coconut, and light butter.

Half liter bottle from Trader Joe's Charlottesville, 10/16/20. Hazy gold. large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of coconut, almond, white sugar. Taste is strong coconut, vanilla, pale malt. Full bodied, slick, sweet but not badly balanced. Hint of booze.

Bottle from total wine in st pete. Off pale and slightly hazy. Aroma is a little sweet; surprizingly sweet but not cloying. Taste is just a tad bitter but not enough to interfere with the session, just different and unique. Has a tad of that whisky feel to it. Some spice seems to come thru in the middle, something almost like hefe. Pretty co2 within. Seems to be a cross between a wheat ale and a hefe, no lie. Not sure if I would call this a belgian ale tho. Seems to hide the 6+% fairly well.
