Bottiglia. Al naso arrivano impressioni di luppolo. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e il modo in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il mantello birroso superiore ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è media. Il liquido appare velato. Il colore è ramato. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è deciso. La forza gustativa è elevata e la durata è buona. Il gusto è piacevolissimo. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano luppolate. Il retrogusto è intenso. Sul palato si riportano indizi di miele, crosta di pane, frutta secca, luppolo, resina, pino, agrumi, pompelmo e ananas.

Poured from 330mL bottle (bb 31/07/2026). Clear blonde gold with full white head. Soft Belgian yeast, honey, feint esters, not quite dialed in, lighter-medium bodied, everything is a bit muted here. Would be decent for a North American tripel, but this is a Belgian tripel...

[as La Biere du Boucanier Golden Ale] Bottiglia. Il naso viene catturato dall'orzo. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale e la maniera in cui permane è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma resiste abbastanza. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Il colore è giallo dorato carico. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è di media potenza. La forza gustativa è elevata e permane in maniera sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. Sul tetto della bocca si trovano sentori di miele, pane cotto di recente, agrumi, frutta secca, arancia e frutta passita.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is sweetish malt, yeast, sweet ripe fruits, mild citrus, spicy notes with coriander, sugary, bit boozy, touch of marzipan. Flavour is sugary sweet and light bitter with a little alcohol. Body is medium. A bit too boozy and sweet to be a good Tripel in my book.

Bottle from a local department store. Aroma is lots of sweet ripe fruits, malt, sweet stone fruits such as peach and apricot, some spicy yeasty and floral notes, candied fruits. Flavour is fairly sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Better than I expected from looking at that label art, which is pure pain. Bit heavy on the sweetness for my taste, but not bad.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Aroma is grainy malt, wet cardboard, dusty with buttery notes. Flavour is sweetish with a light bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. Not a nice Pilsener with its dusty buttery aroma.

From tap at Speciaalbier Café De Markies, Leeuwarden. Sweet with an aroma of subtle oak, sweet caramel malt, toffee, likeur, alcohol, pear and overripe apple. Sweet flavour with a sticky mouthfeel. Body is medium to full. Okay-ish, expected more, way too sticky and heavy on the caramel toffee with the kind of ripe fruits I don't particularly care for. Barrel is too subtle.
