Cloudy deep amber with a beautiful two finger off-white frohty head. Toasted malt, lovely dried apricot esters, spicy notes, burnt sugar, subtle calvados & oak barrel, some hop. Light sweet & bitter. Warming alcohol. A nice example of making a good beer more complex by barrel aging instead of ruining it.

Can from Total Wine in Santa Rosa, CA. Pours brassy gold with a nice white head. Nice aroma of yeast and mixed fruits. Med body. Malty but not sweet. Not very bitter either. Flavor of yeast, banana and a decent clove note. Nice.

A: hazy red, stable, foamy, pink head.
A: red candy ('veters'), candied cherry, powdered sugar, elderberry syrup.
T: very sweet red candy, cherry, strawberry ice cream, bubblegum.
F: bittersweet candy, bit chemical lemon juice, warming red vodka-like alcohol.
P: medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation.

Draught @ First Draft, Chicago IL. Murky dark brown with a foamy tan head, caramel aroma, medium carbonation, initially sweet caramel taste that turns medium bitter, spices, dried red fruits, smooth body, long bitterish finish. Great brew.

0.75 bottle many thanks to Lore. Hazy orange body with a white head. Aroma is when you drop a burning cigarre into a shot of whiskey. It's unreal how smoky it is. Taste of orange zest, whiskey, nutmeg and some floral hops. The taste is way more balanced than the aroma. Very nice.
